This walk commemorates the centenary of the armistice. A story of courage and fortitude; the true adventures of Jack Seely and Warrior, the War Horse, visiting places where they lived and trained.
NOTE: There is currently a 5 day road closure which will affect participants on this walk on Mon 13th May, starting at Mottistone Manor car park. The road B3399 between Mottistone Manor and Brighstone is closed during working hours.
Access to Mottistone Manor car park can be made by approaching from the Middle Road at Shalcombe and along the B3399 by Chessell Pottery, and Hulverstone. Alternatively follow the Military Road A3055 through Brook Village and right along the B3399 to Mottistone.
This walk will follow a moderate pace.
Gentle, rolling landscape, walking on paths with good to average surfaces. Some walking on gentle inclines, some stiles or steps to be expected en route.
Suitable for a person with sufficient mobility to climb a flight of stairs.
