The Tapnell Trail

A popular and scenic 6.5 mile circular walk in open countryside with stunning views over the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival site and south coast of the Island.

The walk will be led by Andy Turney who has farmed at East Afton & Tapnell Farm for nearly 40 years and is full of local knowledge and a wonderful story-teller!

The trail runs through the middle of Tapnell Farm. It is flat terrain with no stiles or steps, making it suitable for walkers of all abilities – so both children and adults can manage this meandering route and enjoy the diverse wildlife.

Fairly Easy
Gentle, rolling landscape, walking on paths with good to average surfaces. Some walking on gentle inclines, some stiles or steps to be expected en route.

Suitable for a person with sufficient mobility to climb a flight of stairs.

Opportunity to have lunch at The Cow Restaurant on return to Tapnell Farm. Bookings required.
