An historical walk around East Cowes remembering the effects on the town of the major Blitz on the night of 4/5th May 1942. Wreath laying at the Cemetery.
This walk will follow a gentle pace.
Gentle, rolling landscape, walking on paths with good to average surfaces. Some walking on gentle inclines, some stiles or steps to be expected en route.
Suitable for medium sized mobility scooters.
Walkers can leave following the wreath laying and make their own way home after 1.5hrs if preferred. Mobility Scooters have the option to make a detour to avoid the flight of 6 steps and rejoin and pushchairs can be lifted up the steps.
