Week 2 Walks
10th to 17th May 2020
See inside the two restored Victorian Chapels and take a guided walk through history, taking in Victorian symbolism, prominent people of the town, to graves from two World Wars and beyond – all within beautiful grounds rich in flora and fauna.
This walk is a fairly rugged ramble, first through Tolt Copse and then along Chillerton Down with definitive views of the village. A history of the downs will be related along the route.
A new linear walk tracing the Wroxall Stream and connecting to the Yar River Trail. Climb the Downs and follow the Stream from near its source. See the Donkey Sanctuary and join the Yar River Trail to walk into Godshill.
Walking mainly on lesser known footpaths in West Wight taking in a variety of scenery and stunning views.
As part of the Golden Hill anniversary celebrations, join Gift to Nature and explore the newly designed and improved Geocaching trail at Golden Hill Country Park. Be sure to bring along your smart phones with the Geocache app already downloaded. This walk aims to celebrate the Golden Hill Anniversary Celebrations and there are more walks
