Admire Shanklin’s panoramic coastal views, the ravine of the Chine and the Old Village and hills whilst discovering its volunteer community aspects, all with a hint of history. Refreshments will be provided at the historic Shanklin Theatre, one of the town’s greatest volunteering success stories.

This route takes in a mixture of paths through farmland, sunken lanes and quiet roads. There are views of nearby Chillerton Downs and the vista of fields and downs towards the Sandown Bay.

Meet in the Villa cafe and then join the Marshes by the Yarbridge. Cross Oxmead then walk along the seafront. Returning to the villa by Morton Common and Lower Road.
